Woh Hup Scholarship is donated by Woh Hup (Pte) Ltd commencing in AY2007/2008. It is awarded to newly admitted outstanding undergraduates in the BSc (Project and Facilities Management) programme. One scholarship valued at $6,250 will be awarded per year for four years, covering a student’s entire programme. Each scholarship is tenable for four years, subject to the student’s progress. Applicants should attain excellent GCE’A’ level results or equivalent qualifications or excellent polytechnic results; have a strong record of CCA involvement; and demonstrate a commitment to community service.
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship is valued at $6,250 per year and is tenable for four years.
- The scholarship does not carry a bond.
- Applicants should not be concurrent holders of any other form of free aid such as grants, bursaries and scholarships. Applicants with such other forms of support will need to obtain prior approval from the respective awarding bodies for the concurrent holding of the awards.
- The recipient must maintain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.5 for renewal of the scholarship. The academic performance is monitored on a semester basis. The award may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, the progress of the recipient has not been satisfactory.
- f the recipient decides to terminate the scholarship prematurely, the Department reserves the right to impose a repayment on a case-by-case basis.
Application and Shortlisting Procedure
- Open to all first year undergraduate students admitted in AY2008/2009 to the BSc (Project and Facilities Management) programme can apply to be considered for the scholarship using the prescribed application form.
- Short-listed candidates will attend an interview with the Selection Committee. Candidates will receive an email notification if they have been selected to attend the interviews.
- All shortlisted candidates will be informed of the results of their interviews by email.
- The School reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the Selection Committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
- We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
